55 Gallon Freshwater Tank

This 55 gallon freshwater tank is so simple, yet so beautiful. It can be a great addition to any home or office. This type of aquarium is a perfect choice for beginners and if you have children. It’s very easy to take care of and it’s so much fun watching colorful fish swimming in small schools.

This particular tank has a school of Diamond Tetras, GloFish Tetras, Barbs and Danios. For the decorations we used driftwood, slate rock and live plants.

For this type of a fish tank a weekly or bi-weekly water change is recommended to keep fish healthy and water clean.  We normally perform a weekly 10-15% water change and clean algae off the fish tank glass. Once in a while we also rearrange the tank decorations and plants.

We feed our fish different types of food, like brine shrimp, blackworms, good quality flake food and micro pellet food.
